Biography:

Maria Aielli, Ed.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Reading Science Program, located in the School of Education at Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Maria serves as a literacy specialist for Project Ready! (an open-source preschool curriculum) through the Center for Reading Science. In her work as an instructional coach, Maria supports preschool through first-grade educators by providing in-person coaching and professional development focused on bridging the research-to-practice gap.

Dr. Aielli received her master's (2016) and doctorate (2024) in Reading Science from Mount Saint Joseph University. She also serves on the executive board of the Ohio Valley Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. Maria’s mission is to provide all educators with the knowledge and skills needed to support literacy success for all students.
