Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Renaissance – Peak Productions
Peak Productions is a Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Renaissance program that gives students the opportunity to learn about video production in the field. Students receive real-world, hands-on experience to build production value and storytelling skills. Students in Peak Productions also have the opportunity to help with the Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Morning Minute News Program. The Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Morning Minute is a Campus-Focused LIVE News Program produced and delivered by our Peak Productions students. Read below to hear about Peak Productions from students in the program!
Macy Ilg
- Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
- Major and expected graduation year: Marketing with a minor in Communications. Expected graduation year 2027.
- Why did you decide to come to the Mount? I decided to come to The Mount because it is close to home and I love the beautiful campus and the small school environment!
- Why did you decide to join Peak Productions? Originally, I decided to join Peak Productions because my academic advisor recommended it to me and it also qualifies for the Renaissance Scholarship. I ended up loving it so much and I have continued to come back since then!
- Favorite part about Peak Productions and the Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Morning Minute? My favorite part about Peak Productions is the hands-on experience with cameras and equipment. I love going out and shooting videos with the team to include in the Morning Minute as well as running the Instagram account!
Matthew Knox

- Why did you decide to come to the Mount? Because it was so close to home. Small classes, and a more personal feel.
- Why did you decide to join Peak Productions? My interest in video production and video editing.
- Favorite part about Peak Productions and the Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Morning Minute? Getting to produce the Morning Minute.
Mitchell Reveal
- Hometown: Amelia, Ohio
- Major and expected graduation year: Graphic Design major, Communication and New Media Studies minor. Expected graduation year spring 2026.
- Why did you decide to come to the Mount? I wanted to be at a smaller school that I could also pursue cross country and track, and I fell in love with both the running and the art program.
- Why did you decide to join Peak Productions? I want to try more video projects after taking Digital Video Production in my sophomore fall semester. Bevin recommended Peak Productions to me and I decided to give it a go in the next semester and fell in love with it.
- Favorite part about Peak Productions and the Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Morning Minute? While we are given suggestions and pointers to help improve the production, the show is ours to create! Everything is very hands-on, and we are given the chance to work with different pieces of equipment and be in different positions.
