“Skyline is a Cincinnati favorite for many including myself, but I have another reason for Skyline being a favorite other than the great food.
On January 28, 2024, I went to the Skyline in Delhi to have lunch with my family. Nothing out of the ordinary happened till I suffered a cardiac arrest that stopped my heart while I was at Skyline. Thanks to the quick thinking of my family and the workers I am here today. A big shout out to Jourdan, one of the workers who knew CPR and got my heart beating again, Delhi EMT for shocks from an AED, and UC hospital care team, I am here today.

There will be a fundraiser for the American Heart Association on February 7th at the Skyline in Delhi. Please help support the importance of CPR training and AEDs in all buildings by supporting this fundraiser for the American Heart Association. 9 out of 10 people who have a cardiac arrest outside the hospital do not survive, I am the 1 out of 10 who was where a person trained in CPR was. The Impact of Heart Health: Julie and Tim's Stories
Julie’s life was saved thanks to the quick actions of a Skyline employee trained in CPR after she suddenly went into cardiac arrest while dining. Tim’s heart emergency began with what he thought was simple heartburn, but it led to the discovery of multiple blockages and open-heart surgery. Both stories are powerful reminders of how heart disease can strike unexpectedly, and why it’s so important to listen to our bodies and act fast when something feels wrong.
