As part of the Class of 1973's 50th reunion initiative, we ask for your contribution to the Risk A Caring Response Fund to enable us to provide additional prevention programming and resources for the Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Wellness Center. Your donation will enable the Director of the Wellness Center to go above and beyond in caring for students and those who care for our students by providing additional operating funds.
Mental health and wellness concerns among college students are at an all-time high.
At the Mount, the Wellness Center offers counseling services to help manage stress due to past trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, sadness, academic stress, and loneliness. While not all students need formal counseling services, all would benefit from programming and materials that assist in reducing stress, building resilience, and enhancing the college experience; thereby positively impacting their academic success.
Funds would be available for training and workshop materials to facilitate self-care, skills to support academic success, everyday mindfulness and meditation; and building healthy relationships.
With this influx of support, students might benefit from items such as enhanced mental wellness materials and supplies, such as comfortable furniture, puzzles/games/fidgets, writing and journaling materials, and subscriptions to use relaxation apps or bio-feedback software.
We look forward to receiving your assistance in implementing this plan.
