Professional Development is designed to prepare you for the workforce. You'll begin with self-assessment and skills analysis then move on to resume development, professional correspondence, interviewing techniques, professional practices, and co-op expectations and opportunities.

While attending the Mount, you'll learn skills in career decision making, personal reflection, assessment, and life planning while fostering the integration of academic and career goal development in a global context.

This website features 100 major and career profiles with information on common career paths, types of employers that hire in the field, and strategies to maximize opportunities. More than 1,700 links to professional associations, occupational information, and job search resources are included.
Résumé Critiques & Mock Interviews
Students and alumni review their résumés, cover letters, etc. with a Career and Experiential Education Center staff member and receive personalized feedback. Students can also receive feedback before an upcoming job interview by completing a mock interview with a career coordinator.
Job Search Assistance
The CEEC offers assistance to students and alumni by facilitating connections with employers and teaching individuals how to conduct effective job searches. The Career Center team customizes our approach to suit each unique student, whether they are looking for a part-time job, a co-op/internship, or a full-time, post-graduation job. Some examples of our services include:
- Handshake, online platform connecting students and employers (in the Cincinnati region and beyond).
- Resume, cover letter, and other document reviews.
- Practice (mock) interviews.
- Employer information sessions (virtual and in-person).
- Tours of local employers.
- Networking connections with Alumni.

- The University offers several career fairs throughout the year to help students connect with potential employers.

Graduate School Advising
Many students head straight to graduate school after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the Mount. If you see graduate school as a part of your future, it is important to plan ahead. In partnership with faculty, the Career Center will support you through the process of researching graduate/professional schools, preparing for competitive applications, practicing for admissions interviews, understanding financial aid options, and more!
